Top 5: Game of Thrones Episodes.

As mentioned in previous posts, one of my all time favourite TV shows is HBO's Game of Thrones.
I love the books by George R. R. Martin, and when the TV show came out back in 2011 I was hooked.
Me and my fiance absolutely love the show, we binge watch seasons of the show all the time!

So last night we were watching the season 4 boxset and we started discussing our top 5 episodes of all time, it was a lengthy discussion, all the episodes are amazing and the discussion became very heated as things were said like: 'How can you chose that episode over that one?' and 'No no no its definitely this one' It was all good banter really and I thought that this would be a great post to write.
It's a difficult one, I can tell you that now but a good one.

So let's begin!

WARNING: If you haven't seen Game of Thrones and are planning to, or haven't seen past Season 1, spoilers ahead, read on at your own risk.

5. Season 1, Episode 1. Winter is Coming.

This episode is my number 5 because with it being the first episode (and for people who haven't read the books) it introduces most of the important characters.
Robert Baratheon, King of Westeros and the Seven Kingdoms travels to Winterfell with his wife Queen Cersei Lannister to ask his old friend Eddard Stark to be the Hand of the King after the last Hand - John Arryn mysteriously dies.
Across the Narrow Sea in Essos you meet Viserys Targaryen an exiled prince and his sister Daenerys, who Viserys is trying to marry off to a Dothraki warlord named Khal Drogo in exchange for his army, forging a new alliance to regain the Iron Throne.
When Robert Baratheon arrives in Winterfell you meet Jaime Lannister, brother of Cersei. Joffrey Baratheon, son of Robert and Cersei and Tyrion Lannister, brother to Jaime and Cersei.
Ned Stark's Son Brandon discovers that Queen Cersei and her brother Jaime are involved in an incestuous relationship after seeing them together, a discovery that almost kills him.

4. Season 3, Episode 4. And Now His Watch Has Ended.

I love this episode for a number of reasons, you get to meet and see how sick and twisted Ramsay Snow is, who tortures Theon Greyjoy. Jaime has been captured by Roose Bolton's men along with Brienne and Roose's men have cut off Jaime's sword hand. Lord Varys tell Tyrion the tale of he became a eunuch, and Arya meets the leader of the Brotherhood without Banners: Beric Dondarrion, who sentences The Hound to a trial by combat with him.
A huge massacre breaks out at Craster's Keep between Craster and the starving Night's Watch men. Both Craster and Lord Mormont lose their lives in the conflict, while Sam escapes with Gilly and her newborn son.
Meanwhile in Astapor, Daenerys has struck a bargain with Master Kraznys to give him one of her dragons in exchange for his Unsullied Army. Through the first few episodes where you meet Kraznys he talks in High Valaryian to Daenerys which is translated to her by his young translator - Missandei who is bought by Daenerys. What Kraznys doesn't know however, is that the Queen's mother tongue is High Valaryian and she knows everything he has said about her the whole time (which isn't very nice) the most exciting part of an already brilliant episode is where Kraznys takes one of the dragons and cannot control it. Daenerys turns to him and tells him 'A dragon is not a slave'
Then speaking to the dragons, she utters the word 'Dracarys' which means 'Burn' which the dragons do, burning Kraznys and the city alive, she orders the Unsullied to kill the former masters after freeing them as slaves. They choose to follow her as her new army.

3. Season 1, Episode 9. Baelor.

This episode is almost too hard for me to talk about but it sits at my number 3, it's still a brilliant episode.
Stark and Lannister armies prepare for their first battle against one another and Tyrion leads his army of savages into battle, only for Tyrion to be knocked out in the first minutes into the battle by a swinging weapon. Robb and Catelyn Stark seek the help of a Lord.
Khal Drogo is dying from an infected wound on his chest, desperate to keep him alive and carrying his unborn child, Daenerys enlists the blood magic of a witch to save his life, much to the horror of the Dothraki army. Most of them abandon Daenerys. The blood magic is unsuccessful, resulting in Drogo being saved but he is a hollow shell of a man who will never recover. Daenerys gives birth to their son who dies at birth, being described as a monster with scaly skin. She later kills Khal Drogo by suffocating him with a pillow.
Maester Aemon reveals himself to be a Targaryen to Jon Snow who is worried about events outside of the wall.
Ned Stark is being imprisoned for treason against the new King Joffrey after the death of King Robert. In an attempt to save Sansa and Arya's lives, Ned falsely confesses to conspiracy and swears fealty to King Joffrey as the rightful heir to the Iron Throne, knowing that he is born of incest through Queen Cersei and her brother Jaime.
Ned is being tried at the Sept of Baelor thanks to Sansa convincing him to confess to save his life and live the rest of his days at the Wall and become a member of the Night's Watch.
A crowd has gathered before him who are angry and jeering. After Ned confesses Joffrey turns against the advice of his elders, and orders Ilyn Payne to bring him Ned's head.
It's a heartbreaking scene to watch and read in the books as everyone knows that Ned is right about Joffrey and is being wrongly executed by cruel King Joffrey. But saying that, if this hadn't have happened the war for the Iron Throne would never have begun. In my opinion, this is the event where everything starts to kick off.

2. Season 4, Episode 8. The Mountain and The Viper.

This episode was a hard one to chose as number 2 as it would have been my number 1, if not for another episode pipping it to the top.
Everything really kicks off in this episode, starting with the Wildlings arriving in Mole's Town, who then proceed to massacre the entire village. Ygritte spares the life of Gilly when she discovers her hiding with her infant son. Sam regrets his decision to leave her there and believe that they are both dead.
Ramsay forces Reek (formerly Theon) to go to Moat Cailin as Theon Greyjoy to convince the Iron Born there to surrender and give up Moat Cailin to Roose Bolton.
They surrender in hope that they can go home and live but are flayed and killed by Ramsay and his men. When Ramsay presents the bolt of cloth holding the Moat Cailin sigil to his father Roose, he rewards him with legitimizing his surname as Bolton rather than Snow.
In Meereen, Daenerys discovers through Ser Barristan that Jorah Mormont received a royal pardon for spying on her when they first met. Jorah tries to explain his actions but a furious Daenerys orders him to leave Meereen and never return.
Meanwhile in the Vale, its the day after Lysa Arryn's murder, Littlefinger shoved her to her death through the moon door after confessing he never loved her, he had always loved her sister - Catelyn.
Sansa is brought before a council investigating her Aunt's death and reveals herself to be Sansa Stark after masquerading as Alayna Stone - Littlefinger's Niece. She convinces the council that Lord Baelish is innocent, lying for him.
Outside of the Vale, The Hound and Arya are told about the death of Lysa and leave. Arya was so close to seeing her sister again!
In King's Landing Tyrion is readying himself for his trial by combat. Tyrion is accused of poisoning King Joffrey at his own wedding. Prince Oberyn is set to fight to the death for him against Gregor Clegane - who had raped and killed Oberyn's sister - Elia Martell, then murdered her two children.
This episode you get to see two heavily rumored fighters go head to head and you actually see them fight.
Oberyn, nicknamed The Viper has always been described as a fantastic fighter, his skills with spears and his quickness, on the other hand is Gregor Clegane - The Mountain who is feared around Westeros as the most brutal fighter. At a huge height of 6'8 and weighing god knows how much, you can see why he is so feared.
The fight begins, The Mountain in heavy Armour and a huge sword, The Viper in leathers and a spear.
Prince Oberyn gains the upper hand in the fight, fatally injuring The Mountain but his thirst for revenge gets the better of him and while trying to make Clegane confess to the rape and murder of his sister, Clegane catches Oberyn off guard and knocks him to the floor, then proceeds to force his thumbs through Oberyn's eyes resulting in his skull being crushed, killing him, to the sheer horror of Oberyn's paramour Ellaria and Tyrion who is then sentenced to death for Regicide by his own father - Tywin.
Phew, what an action packed episode!

1. Seaons 2, Episode 9. Blackwater.

So this is the episode that made my number 1 in my Top 5.
This has always been my favourite episode ever, I haven't found another episode that has beaten it yet.
Blackwater begins with Stannis Baratheon's fleet assaulting King's Landing in the Battle of Blackwater Bay. Leading the defense Tyrion destroys quite a lot of Stannis's fleet with a ship full of Wildfire which is exploded by his sell sword companion Bronn and his blazing arrow.
Stannis and his remaining fleet make it onto the battlefield, with King Joffrey and The Hound deserting Tyrion, who leads the battle underground through tunnels, beneath the Baratheon forces to come out behind them to attack.
Meanwhile Queen Cersei, Sansa and the women of the court are holed up together in the fortress, away from the battle. Drunk on wine, Cersei believes that the battle is lost and that they are all going to be dead by morning. She tells Sansa to use her female charm against men by saying 'the best weapon a woman has is between her legs'
She abandons the fortress leaving Sansa to calm the women down by singing hymns together. Shae tells Sansa to go to her room and lock herself in there and not to let anybody in.
When she arrives to her room she discovers that The Hound has taken shelter there and is very drunk. He tells Sansa that he is leaving King's Landing and offers to take her away with him to be rid of Joffrey and Cersei's evil clutches, but she refuses, clearly brainwashed by the Queen as she is to marry King Joffrey and become Queen herself.
In the throne room, Cersei is sat upon the Iron Throne with her youngest son, Tommen who she is going to poison to save him being slain before her. Just as she raises the tube of poison to his lips, her father Tywin bursts through the doors with his men and Loras Tyrell, lover of Renly Baratheon who have dispatched more attackers on Stannis's fleet.
Tywin tells the Queen that the war is over, they have won.
Stannis is forced to retreat with his fleet back to Dragonstone. much to Stannis's anger.
This episode is truly brilliant, it's one of the very few episodes that is entirely filmed in one place. The sheer scale of the battle, the way the Wildfire rips up half of Stannis's fleet, the drunkness and harshness of Cersei and the lengths she would go to, to protect her children from being murdered. Just a great episode!

I really hope you enjoyed my Top 5 Game of Thrones episodes, it was difficult to choose and write, but it's nice to write about something different!

Instagram Roundup Week 1

Happy Saturday folks!

So this week I decided to start up my week in photos from my Instagram account.

Starting from the top: Last week we re-homed an Olde English Bulldogge - his name is Hugo and we love him so much already! He's settled in very well, he snorts when he sniffs things and he snores so loud! I love taking him on long walks and getting some fresh air :) He's only 9 months old and he's quite big, I love his lovely pink nose.

Uploaded a week ago today I reviewed for you all the Illamasqua Multi Facet Palette in Aura - Brilliant little compact palette that you can use to create a really nice look on your face and eyes.

Also reviewed last Saturday was Zuzka's Organic Orange and Vanilla Pod Exfoliating Gel - kindly gifted to me by the owner of the brand Susan.
I also reviewed the very kind gift that Makeup Revolution sent me which was their new Oil Control Fixing Spray, an absolute godsend!

Next photo I took was a photo of me and Hugo looking adoringly at each other! He comes up to me during the day for a cuddle and when I say cuddle - we really do cuddle up together.
He was about to go in for a kiss on this one!

Tuesday I finally got round to watching The Imitation Game starring my very favourite - Benedict Cumberbatch.
The film is about Alan Turing, the genius who created the first computer to crack the German enigma code in World War 2.
Very emotional and powerful film with the quote: 'Sometimes it's the people who no-one imagines anything of who do the things no-one can imagine'
It's an excellent movie and I highly recommend people to go and see it, just take some tissues - Cumberbatch gives the performance of his life in this, how it didn't win the top Oscars, I'll never know.

Last two photos were two posts I wrote, reviewing the Bumble and Bumble Surf shampoo and conditioner - great product for beach waves, and who I thought were best dressed at this weeks Oscars and Brit Awards. You can find all these posts here on my blog.

So that was my first week of Instagram photos!

Best Dressed: Oscar Awards & Brit Awards 2015.

The celebs were back out and dressed to the nines this week, as the last two awards events of February took place: The Oscars and The Brit Awards.

The Oscars are the most prestigious awards and it seemed that every movie star was out on Sunday.
I have picked out my best dressed for this post:

Anna Kendrick, Cate Blanchett and Emma Stone.
Anna Kendrick looked gorgeous in a peach toned maxi dress by Thakoon, while Cate Blanchett looked stunning in a black silk velvet floor length dress from Margiela Couture.
Emma Stone looked beautiful in a green Ellie Saab gown with a split up to the thigh.

Lupita Nyong'o, Margot Robbie and Marion Cottilard
12 Years A Slave star Lupita Nyong'o wore a custom made Calvin Klein white dress that was dripping in pearls, she looked divine.
Margot Robbie screamed sexy in a black floor length Saint Laurent dress and Marion Cottilard looked simply lovely in a white embroidered silk gown by Dior Haute Couture.

Zoe Saldana, Tegan and Sara and Jennifer Aniston.
Guardians of the Galaxy beauty Zoe Saldana looked pretty in pale pink wearing a dress by Atelier Versace.
Indie-rock duo Tegan and Sara opted for the gothic look, both looking very chic in menswear inspired outfits completing the look with smokey eyes and dark lipstick - winner!
And finally our lovely Friends star Jennifer Aniston looked jaw droppingly gorgeous in a Atelier Versace gown, how this woman gets away with not looking a day over 30 is beyond me! She is just pure beauty.

Last night the Brit Awards took place and Britain's best loved music stars and stars from across the pond attended to see performances from Taylor Swift, Sam Smith and to witness that now famous fall of Madonna's - eep!

Cara Delevingne, Jo Whiley and Sam Smith.

Model and queen of eyebrows Cara Delevingne looked super chic in a Yves Saint Laurent ensemble. There aren't a lot of people who liked this look from last night, but I think she looks awesome!
Radio presenter Jo Whiley looked stunning in a blue gown, she looks amazing after giving birth to 4 children, go on Jo!
Sam Smith looked very dapper in a blue Eddie Redmayne-esque suit on the red carpet by Casely-Hayford, the singer picked up 2 awards last night for Breakthrough Artist and Global Success - very well deserved awards!

And last but not least was our favourite pop star - Taylor Swift looking absolutely magnificent in a Roberto Cavalli black and red gown embossed with a dragon on the back - beautiful!

Can't wait for next years awards season!

Bumble & Bumble Surf Shampoo & Conditioner (Review)

Friday, I had a sample of Bumble & Bumble Surf Shampoo and Conditioner arrive in the post.
I had totally forgotten that I had applied for a sample of this through the ASOS website, So I was surprised when it came, I love getting samples to try out.

I had read up about this shampoo and conditioner a few months back and heard that it was great and gives you natural looking beach waves - something that I love doing to my hair now its grown to a suitable length.

I love the design on the sachets, which read: for bouyant body and soft, seabreezy texture, I was all over this and couldn't wait to use it.

So I hopped on into the shower and applied the shampoo, it lathers very well in my thick hair leadig me to believe that if I buy a full sized bottle of this, I won't be running out as fast as I normally do with other shampoos I use.

To be honest, I spent quite a few good minutes massaging the shampoo into my hair because the smell of it is so damn good!
It smells kinda ocean-y and very fresh.

I popped the conditioner on my hair after rinsing the shampoo out and instantly felt my hair soften and left it a while. I have a habit of leaving conditioner in my hair for a few minutes while I wash my body, then rinse out.

I left my hair to air dry for a few hours and spritzed a little of Toni & Guy's Sea Salt spray for some extra hold and 'scrunched' the end of my hair a little and I was done!
My hair looked really lovely, it had a messy texture to it, like I had just come out of the sea and let the sun dry my hair, I was really pleased with the end result.
No cripsy feeling to my hair, just soft waves and great volume.

The only thing I forgot to do was take a decent photo of my hair afterwards! (smart move, Brogan)
This is the only photo I have after using the shampoo and conditioner.

I think I might purchase these little gems full sized nearer to the summer so I can always have beachy locks!

You can buy Bumble and Bumble Surf Shampoo & Conditioner from Boots, Shampoo is £18.50 and the Conditioner is £20.50 both 250ml bottles.

Have you used Bumble & Bumble products before?
What do you think?

Illamasqua Multi Facet Palette in Aura.

I'm a little late in reviewing this palette, I've had it since December and if you watch my YouTube videos, you have seen me using the Eyebrow Cake in Thunder to shape and fill in my eyebrows.

I'm just going to cut to the chase here and say that I love this palette. I don't own much Illamasqua makeup and the Multi Facet Palette in Aura can create a whole look for your face and eyes.

Housed in a sleek black case, with Illamasqua's name engraved in the top, this palette screams elegance.

There are two versions of this palette. Aura and Semblance, which is designed for deeper skin tones.

This compact palette comes with a variety of Illamasqua's best sellers.
Aurora - A cream highlighter
Tremble - A powder blush
Hollow - A cream pigment used for contouring
Thunder - An eyebrow powder
Vision - A shimmering white eyeshadow
Servant - A peach matte eyeshadow
Feint - A reddish/pink matte eyeshadow
Machine - A black matte with silver shimmer eyeshadow

As mentioned I really love Thunder to fill in my eyebrows and hollow is great for contouring the face - it doesn't look too much.

All in all this palette is brilliant to create an every day look and small and compact enough to fit inside your bag for any touch ups through the day.

You can buy the Illamasqua Multi Facet Palette from Debenhams for £22.50. For some reason its not on the Illamasqua website anymore.

Have tried any Illamasqua products?

Zuzka Orange & Vanilla Pod Exfoliating Gel (Review)

A few weeks back I visited the The Bloggers Hub website after they tweeted that there were brands listed on their website gifting bloggers.
This is for bloggers to give details about their blogs and the brand they email could send them a product to test, review and keep.

I contacted a cosmetics company called Zuzka Natural Beauty asking if I could try their Cocoa Spa Orange and Vanilla Pod Exfoliating Gel out and Susan from the company very kindly emailed me back and said she was sending me a pot to try.

I was overjoyed that she got back to me and waited for the product.

When it arrived I was gobsmacked at the size of the pot Susan had sent me - it was a whole 50ml! So generous!

So let me tell you a little about Zuzka Natural Beauty: Susan is a qualified beauty specialist and registered medical herbalist, who has worked in the health and beauty business for over 20 years as a consultant and therapist for some of the top cosmetic companies. So she has a lot of experience with clients with different skin complaints.

Suffering herself with a skin complaint she quickly realised that there was a great need for a product range free from the main skin irritants that she had taken note of over the years.

So she started to develop her own formula's and studying medical herbalism and discovered the healing power that herbs, plants and flowers hold and used these natural ingredients to make her cosmetics range.
Zuzka is Slovakian for Susan, which is inspired by her Slovakian husband.

Now, as a lover of nature and plants, I love anything that is natural and great for your skin, so  was really excited to start using this gel.
The key ingredients in this gel are Aloe, Orange, Vanilla and Bamboo Powder.

As mentioned in previous posts and videos I use my Sonicleanse every morning with a foaming face wash, so I used this gel at night before applying my serum and moisturiser.

The Smell: As soon as I put my nose into this pot I was instantly reminded of Terry's Chocolate Orange, which I love so much. Its not an overpowering potent scent, its really pleasant.

The Texture: It does say Gel on the pot, but I found the texture a bit more of a runnier silky consistency, which was great to work with. The exfoliating beads aren't your usual beads, they're very fine granules which is quite possibly the vanilla pods or the bamboo powder, or a mixture of the both.

The Application: I worked the gel between my hands and applied to my face, gently massaging the product around my face. The grains were very gently on my face. I then used a warm washcloth to remove the gel from my face and rinsed my skin.

The Result: I patted my face dry with a soft towel and my skin felt so lovely, smooth and soft. I looked at my face and it had a lovely bright glow to it - I was so pleased!
I moisturised my face afterwards and applied my make up, which went on a lot more smoothly than usual.

All in all I can say that this exfoliating gel is a winner. I'm really enjoying using it and a little goes a long way. so its safe to say that I won't be running out any time soon.

You can find Zuzka's Organic Orange and Vanilla Pod on the website here, for £24.99.

Zuzka has a range of skincare products, make up, hair care, body care, beauty kits and a men's range all available on the website.
Huge thanks to Susan for the lovely product to try out.

Have you tried any products from Zuzka?

Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray.

When I have been wearing my make up for a good few hours I tend to get a really oily T-Zone.
No matter how many mattifying products I use, I just can't seem to control the oil on the forehead and my nose.
It can be really annoying especially when I'm out with friends and photos are taken, I'm the shiniest person in the photo.

I was over the moon last week when Makeup Revolution asked me if I wanted to try their Oil Control Fixing Spray. I jumped at the chance, Makeup Revolution are my favourite cosmetics brands at the moment, they just seem to keep reeling new products out like there's no tomorrow, and every product is a winner. So I had very high hopes for this product.

So Saturday morning rolled around and the buzzer to my flat went, it was the spray!
I was getting ready to go and see a friend at the time so it came at the perfect moment really.

The spray comes in a spray bottle and is part of Makeup Revolution's Pro Fix range.
Reading off the label at the back of the bottle:
Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray is a lightweight setting spray that helps deflect surface shine for a natural matte finish. High-tech ingredients keep foundation and eye make up in place with no smudging or fading for that just-applied natural look lasting up to 12 hours.

Great stuff! So I finished applying my make up and shook the bottle well before use and held the spray 8 - 10 inches away from my face as instructed on the label and spritzed the spray onto my face.
Very pleasant feeling and quite cooling on the face and doesn't smell funky at all.
And with that, I got my bag and coat ready and left the house, leaving the spray to dry naturally and set - This was at 11:30am

Fast forward to around 6pm and I was telling my friend all about this spray and how I couldn't wait to get a review up about it and she asked me if it works.
I always do my little test and rub the back of my hand across my forehead and usually get a greasy hand afterwards. To my utter delight, the back of my hand was grease free!
Finally, a product that actually does work to mattify my oily skin!

I'm really really pleased with this and hopefully gone are the days where someone takes a photo of me and I look like a greaseball!

Makeup Revolution's Oil Control Fixing Spray is available to buy from their website here, and comes in a 100ml bottle for just £5 - hardly an expensive product to keep your oiliness at bay.

Top marks yet again Makeup Revolution, seriously you can do no wrong!

Liebster Award #2

Wow! For the second time in two years I have been nominated again for a Liebster Award. I still can't quite get my head around the fact that I get visitors to this blog and read what I have to say!
I received a tweet last week from the wonderful Emily over at Lashes & Rouge to tell me that she had nominated me for the Liebster Award which I was overjoyed about! And I thought I would save writing this post for something special and whaddya know, this is going to be my 100th published post!

So to explain the Liebster Award: The Liebster Award is designed to highlight unknown or not as well know bloggers in the blogging community and gives readers an insight to who is the person behind the computer screen!

I've been given a list of questions to answer by Emily, so here goes:

1. If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Oh, BBQ Pringles and Giant Buttons. I love the stuff! I always eat the chocolate first because I'm a freak and prefer the taste of crisps after chocolate!

2. What do you look for when you follow new blogs/bloggers?
Just someone who I can get on bored with. Creativity, the ability to make me chuckle out loud. Not being too braggy about what they review or receive.

3. What do you do with your time when you're not blogging?
Working mainly. Visiting my best friend, spending time with my fiance, doing some photography, listening to music and watching films.

4. If you had to be an animal, what would you be?
A dolphin, definitely. I love swimming and being in water, and they seem to be friendly creatures and I'm really friendly!

5. Do your friends/family know about your blog?
Yes they do, I'm constantly asking them to read my posts and watch my videos, ask them what they think and for ideas for make-up tutorials on my YouTube channel. I run a fan page for my blog over on Facebook which about 40% is made up of my friends and family, they're all very supportive!

6. What's the one beauty product you would buy again and again?
I think that would have to be Soap & Glory's Supercat Liquid Eyeliner. I think in the last two years I've gone through about 5 of the eyeliner pens, they're just so damn good! Really pigmented and last forever on the eyes.

7. What's your favourite flavour ice-cream?
Ohhhhh chocolate. I bloody love chocolate! I have the hots for tubs of Ben & Jerry's Core ice-cream in Karamel Sutra, that big vein of caramel that runs through the middle.... droooooooool.

8. If you won the lottery what would you do with the money?
Oh god, I think about this too much. I would sort out me and Mark first, buy a bigger house, book some really awesome holidays up, buy some cars. Then I would sort out my family and close friends next, I would open a huge farm for abandoned dogs to live and then I would go make-up and clothes shopping!

9. Your house is burning down and you can only grab 3 items before you escape - what do you choose?
GAH. Okay, it would be my photo albums, my camera and a handful of my CDs.

10. If you could trade lives with one celebrity for a day, who would you choose?
Oooh interesting question! I think it would probably have to be Jennifer Aniston. I love her look and her style so much, and I would kill to have her hair for a day, I would go around swishing about!

11. What's the one beauty product you're dying to try out?
I would absolutely LOVE to try the Hourglass highlighting palette out! There's nothing I want more than to look glowing! And the packaging is so beautiful, it really is a drool-worthy product. One day it shall be mine!

So now, I have to tag 11 other bloggers and make 11 questions up!

So I tag: Dolly Dowsie

And my 11 questions are:
1. Do you have a favourite band/musician?
2. If you could be an inanimate object, what would you be?
3. What season of the year do you prefer?
4. If you could have one song as the soundtrack to your life, what would it be?
5. Seaside or Countryside?
6. Where is your dream holiday destination?
7. What is the one beauty product you can't live without?
8. Would you rather not shave your armpits or not shave your legs?
9. What made you start your blog?
10. What are your favourite blogs at the moment?
11. If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 beauty products would you have with you?

Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balm in Sultry.

Being a lover of these chubby pencil type lipsticks, I own quite a few from a lot of cosmetics brands.
I would say that 50% of my lipstick collection is made up of these chubby crayon-like lipsticks and quite a few are from Revlon.

I already have quite a few shades from the matte range, lacquer range and the balm stain range, I think I have some sort of addiction!

I came across the shade Sultry in Boots and decided to give it a try. As mentioned in previous posts I am constantly having some kind of affair with red and berry toned lipsticks, so this shade was a bit out of the norm for me.

The shade is a gorgeous rosy brown with hints of berry, that looks to suit all skin tones and an everyday wearable colour.

These matte balms contains shea, coconut and mango butters to moisturise and nourish the lips to stop them drying out and has this wonderful peppermint smell to them, enough to make you think that you were applying a lip balm rather than a lipstick.

The formula upon application is creamy and light and goes on smoothly, and is precise enough to line lips before filling them in completely.
The pigmentation is incredible aswell for being a chubby crayon product.
The crayon itself has a twist up function so there is no need for sharpening.

This goes on the lips as an opaque matte finish which is great, but as always when applying a matte lip product always remember to prep your lips beforehand to ensure there is no dryness or flaking.

In terms of longevity this lipstick lasts really well on the lips - I only needed one top up after around 6-7 hours of wear.

This is a really gorgeous colour for the upcoming Spring months and I can see myself using this a lot to create a natural, pretty look.

There are 10 shades in the Matte Balm range which you can discover here: I already have Shameless, a deep purple that has been compared to MAC's Heroin and Audacious, a bright orangey-pink toned shade, perfect for those hot summer days.

Have you tried Revlon Balm Stains yet?
What is your favourite finish?
