My Charlotte Tilbury Collection. (So far)

You know that feeling you get when you have literally tried every bit of makeup out there and you want something more luxurious and better?
I had that feeling a few weeks ago and decided to pay a visit to the Charlotte Tilbury website to start another chapter of my makeup collection.

Now, we all know the story of Charlotte Tilbury, makeup artist in the 90s, hardworking mother, making celebs look even more beautiful than they already are and creator of the range of makeup we all want a slice of.

This post will show you what I have already and a little wishlist at the end, because I feel like I've unleashed a monster in me where I just want more and more of this makeup.

This 'Miracle Fix' created by Charlotte is used to fix tired, dull skin that needs perking up.
Used mainly as a primer this pink champagne primer is packed with light-reflecting microspheres that give your skin the most most beautiful, luminous, healthy glow.

I use this inunderneath my foundation and it really gives me that 'lit from within' look, reviving my usually tired skin. On days when I don't feel like wearing foundation, I simply apply this all over my face for a dewy fresh look.

Probably one of the most poplar products that is a staple in most beauty bloggers makeup bags is the Filmstar Bronze & Glow Sculpt and Highlight Kit.
This contour and highlight kit claims to 'slim, sculpt, shorten, trim and highlight your features' and it really does keep to its promise.
I'm all for contouring and highlighting at the moment as I'm sure every else is after Kim K and Kylie Jenner made it famous recently, so anything that helps me achieve that sculpted look is a winner in my books, and there is something really special about this kit.
The bronzer is perfect, not too shimmery at all but with just enough pearl and pigment to get that sunkissed look and the highlighter is a gorgeous gold sheen that looks beautiful on the skin, giving a spectacular glow.
I like to use this kit with my Real Techniques 301 Contour Brush for the bronzer and the Real Techniques Core Collection Contour Brush for the highlighter.

As soon as I saw this I knew I was meant to have it. This range was brought out by Charlotte to celebrate Bond Girls and their beauty.
The Spy Who Loved Me is my favourite Bond film and stars my favourite Bond Girl - Anya Amasova, played by the beauiful Barbara Bach.
This little palette contains a cream eyeshadow in a luminescent rose gold shade and a berry balm for lips and cheeks.
It is so perfect for just brightening up the face when you don't feel like wearing much makeup, and is virtually pocket sized for touch ups on the go.
To apply this is simply use my fingers to blend.

Last but certainly not least is the Matte Revolution Lipstick in the shade Glastonberry.
This lipstick is a modern take on the matte lipstick that I adore, Charlotte has made this lipstick to give lips a fuller, wider appearance that look lit from within.

I chose the shade Glastonberry, it just screamed 'BUY ME' when I spotted it on the website, so I listened and bought it without any hesitation,
Its such a gorgeous vampy shade that gives that instant 'sex kitten' look.
Charlotte describes this shade as a 'sheer blackcurrant hue' and I couldn't agree more, I usually save these kind of shades for Autumn/Winter time, but I'm so in love with it i've been teaming it up with healthy glowing skin, minimal eye makeup and plenty of highlighter, which I recently created in my Summer 90s/Goth video here.
I've been using this with a plum lipliner before filling in my lips with this lipstick and then highlighting my cupid's bow to give a stand out pout.

This is all I have so far and I can see myself buying more in the near future. Charlotte's products ooze luxury and really help give me confidence when I apply them to my face.
Next on the wishlist will most definitely be the Berry Naughty & Pillow Talk Lipliners, Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blusher in Love Glow, Dreamy Glow Highlighter, Colour Chameleon Eyeshadow Pencil in Amethyst Aphrodisiac and the Matte Revolution Lipsticks in 1975 Red, Bond Girl, Lost Cherry and Amazing Grace.

My bank balance will never forgive me...

Gothic/90s Summer Look

As mentioned in yesterdays post, I would today be creating a Gothic/90s summer look.
I absolutely love the 90s and it seems the fashion and makeup looks are making a comeback this year, which I couldn't be more happier about.

Below you will find the video of me creating the look and I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did filming it.

*UPDATE* So where the hell have I been?

Hey guys, again it's been a little bit too long since I last blogged and filmed some videos.
I guess since I went back to work in March, I just haven't found the time to do much blogging or filming.
Sure, there has been the odd video here and there but nothing on the scale of what I used to post up.

Also, there was the issue with my now broken laptop, meaning that I had to use my other half's computer to blog and upload videos and been as he is a hardcore gamer, he spends more time on the computer than I do!
So, there was little time for me to use the computer to blog and film and I felt quite miserable about it, I had planned all these posts and videos and I couldn't get round to doing them.

So today, we went out and bought a new laptop (which is what I'm typing on now, yippeeeeee!) and we popped into Ikea for a desk and a chair, so I officially have my own little blogging space!

It's so pretty, I absolutely adore it!
I cannot wait to sit and do my hair and make-up, film some tutorials for you guys and write up blog posts like I am doing now.

So, that's where the hell I have been, and I have a LOT of posts and videos lined up for you guys, first one comes tomorrow evening: Gothic Summer.

So until then, see you soon!
