GRWM Autumn Look

It's time for a new video!
In this video I have created an Autumn Look, Gold/Bronze/Brown eyes and a purple lip, which I think will look great as we make our transition into Autumn.
I really hope you enjoy this video, I really enjoyed putting it together!

Rimmel London Kate #48 Nude Lipstick

Rimmel London is a brand that has been present for absolutely years, I remember the first lipstick my mum gave me was a Rimmel lipstick. It was in a slanted black case and was a frosted pink shade (90s throwback!) and I thought I looked the tits in it.
Since then Rimmel has employed the likes of supermodel Kate Moss and Jade Jagger to promote their products and are still going strong.
The latest range in the Rimmel Collection is Nudes by Kate.
6 lipstick shades taking on the ever so popular nude look that everyone and their Nan's are rocking.

I chose the shade #48 as to be honest, I have a right game trying to find the perfect nude for myself, I have to be careful that I don't look washed out or like I'm 11 and rocking that frosty pale pink lip again. (VOM)

I love the packaging of this lipstick, a nude pinky peach bullet, embossed with Kate Moss's signature in white.

The shade itself is a really pretty rosy brown, and reminds me of MAC's Whirl but less matte. When applied to lips its smooth and buttery, no dragging on the lips and gives a sheer wash of colour.

This lipstick claims to last up to 8 hours, and I shot my OOTD post yesterday, drank coffee, smoked and ate a spag bol and when I came to take my makeup off you could just about see it still on my lips.
I combined this lipstick using MAC Whirl lip pencil and teamed the nude lips with a warm copper eye and glowy skin yesterday and was really pleased with the outcome:

I really like this lipstick and think it will be a staple in my lipstick collection at the moment, part of the very few nudes that actually suit me.

You can buy Kate's nude lipstick from all good drug stores around the UK or on Boots website here.

I Love Makeup You're Gorgeous Eyeshadow Palette

Makeup Revolution's sister brand I Love Makeup has a great range of slogan palettes available at the moment, from palettes stating 'Makeup Geek' to 'Selfie' these highly pigmented eyeshadows are highly sought after by lot of people who want a good bargain.

Last weekend, I picked up the 'You're Gorgeous' palette up from Superdrug for £6.
And you really do get a lot for £6.
This palette contains 10 matte shadows in neutral shades and 22 shimmer shades ranging from off white all the way to a sparkly navy blue.
32 eyeshadows for £6. Can't complain at all about that.

With all Makeup Revolution and I Love Makeup products in palettes are always almost housed in a sleek, hard black case with a full sized mirror.
I've really fell head over heels in love with this palette, the shades are just beautiful:

The quality of these eyeshadows are simply incredible.
Rich, buttery, smooth shades that blend perfectly in the crease of the eye socket, corners and all over the lid.
I used the first top left shade in the matte row and the sixth shade along the first row of shimmers to create a warm copper eye look today:

I used the copper shade on my lower eyelids too, and the off white shade I used as a base, and all the way up to my brow bone.

The point of this palette is that you can create endless eye looks with all of the shades, I'm pretty excited to use the sparkly navy blue shade to create a really dark smokey eye, that will be bang on trend for the party season.

You can buy I Love Makeup products via Makeup Revolution's Website here.

Have you tried any of the I Love Makeup Theme Palettes?

Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint.

Barry M is a brand that everyone and their dog knows. They have a HUGE range of nail polishes in every colour you can imagine in different finishes, from matte to gel.
Barry M's latest release in the early Spring was a range of Quick Dry nail paints.

Now I know myself and every nail painter out there that, even though we love to paint our talons, there is nothing worse than sitting there waiting for them to dry. We cannot touch a thing, everything is held in our hands like its made of molten metal and god forbid if you need the loo halfway through the drying process.
Enter Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint.

When released back in March I purchased 4 of the pastel nail paints and fell in love instantly, not only were the shades really pretty and really suited the season, I didn't have to worry about needing the toilet while waiting for the paint to dry. That's how quick these polishes dry.

Fast forward to yesterday when I was in Superdrug and spotted the Barry M stand offering Buy one Get One Half Price and a whole range of new colours added to the Speedy polishes.

I love to keep up with the seasons colour crushes and spotted these two shades, which I thought were perfect for the Autumn months ahead.
I picked up the shades Sprint Finish and Need For Speed:

L-R: Sprint Finish & Need For Speed
Sprint Finish is a rich cranberry shade, absolutely spot on for this time of year. I painted my nails with this last night and loved the end result. I have a million and one red nail polishes, but this one is different and is really lovely. Within ten minutes I was able to carry doing my normal tasks without smudging any of my nails.

Need For Speed is such a pretty lilac, which I know has a Spring vibe to it, but I reckon using this in the Winter with a top coat of glitter will really jazz it up and make it look quite Christmassy.

I've had my eye on some other shades in the range that I might just have to get next weekend, especially if they are on Buy One Get One Half Price!
You can buy Barry M shades direct from their website here.

Makeup Revolution Highlight Palette.

Yes, I know another highlighter review, but these palettes from Makeup Revolution are just too good to pass up!
So in addition to purchasing the Radiance Palette which I reviewed yesterday I also picked up their Highlight Palette, because, y'know I wanted it!

This palette contains 3 of Makeup Revolution's best selling Baked Highlighters: Golden Lights, Peach Lights and Pink Lights.
On their own Baked Highlighters are £3 each which is an absolute steal, so why not stick them all in one palette and knock a quid off? I was sold.

Rose Gold packaging, the only way to a Beauty Bloggers heart!
Again, this palette comes in sleek black casing with a full sized mirror in the lid.

L-R: Golden Lights, Peach Light and Pink Lights.
So the same with the Radiance Palette, the highlighters are in large, round pans and come in powder form.
The powders are very silky and smooth once applied to the skin and blend in beautifully.

Swatched with flash: Golden Lights, Peach Lights and Pink Lights.
Golden Lights is a really gorgeous golden shimmer that really reminds me of NARS Albatross, but just not as buttery. Perfect for me anyway, as I've hit pan on one of my beloved highlighters.
Peach Lights is really pretty but the only one I found difficult to build up, but not to worry, this will be beautiful as an inner eye corner shimmer or brow bone highlight,
Finally is Pink Lights, a beautiful pinky lilac shimmer that really highlights the cheekbones effortlessly. This will look really pretty in the Winter months when you want a frosty kind of shimmer,

Again, Makeup Revolution impress once more, showing that achieving stunning sharp cheekbones doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg. They really are the best, most affordable cosmetics company out there.

You can buy the Highlight Palette from Makeup Revolution's website here.
Let me know in the comments below if you have tried the Highlight Palette from Makeup Revolution. What are your thoughts?

Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette

Yet again Makeup Revolution has pulled another great product from thin air and presented it to us in all its amazing affordable glory.
The Radiance Palette.

The Radiance Palette contains 3 Radiant Lights Highlighters - Breathe, Exhale & Glow.
This palette has been compared so much to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders, which unfortunately, I cannot compare to, as the Hourglass Palette is wayyy out of my price range, so it's some comfort to know that I can achieve the same look the Hourglass gives for a fraction of the price. You can't really grumble for £8 when the Hourglass Palette is £48 more, it's a real no-brainer.

L-R: Breathe, Exhale & Glow
The highlighters come housed in the usual Makeup Revolution packaging, a sleek black case with a full sized mirror in the lid - great for application and touch ups.
Breathe is a beautiful champagne shade, which I love using as a brow highlighter or use in the corner of my eyes to really open them up. Exhale is my perfect cheekbone highlighter, not too shimmery. just enough to give a sheen on my cheekbones. And finally, my favourite of the three - Glow. It's the most beautiful golden highlight shade that's really perfect for the Autumn months, when you want to prolong that summer glow. I use this all over my cheekbones, down my nose, chin and cupids bow and I looked as though I had just come back off holiday and had that healthy glow.
The powders themselves are really soft and easily buildable and don't contain huge chunks of glitter, because who wants that, really?

Swatched without flash: Breathe, Exhale and Glow
Swatched with flash: Breathe, Exhale and Glow.
I can safely say that this palette will be a firm staple in my highlighters drawer, along with all the other ten million highlighters I already own, but if you want a healthy glow there's nothing wrong with having a bomb load stocked up right?
Right?!

You can buy the Radiance Palette from the Makeup Revolution store right here.

Have you tried Makeup Revolution's Radiance Palette yet? What do you think?
Would you say that it is a fair comparison to the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette?

Autumn Casual OOTD

Seen as we are well into September, the Autumn season is coming closer.
I thought I would put this outfit together today which I am naming Autumn Casual. I think at the moment the British weather is a little topsy turvy so personally, I don't really know how to dress, one minute I'm a little chilly, the next I'm roasting hot in a jumper!

So I put together a pair of stonewash cigarette jeans, one of my favourite tops with no sleeves, a wooly poncho and a pair of white block heeled sandals, for a casual feel.
I can wear this without the poncho if I get too hot and when it starts to get a little chilly throughout the day or when its late afternoon heading into the evening I can throw the poncho back on.

I really like this combo and I hope you do too. The rest of this post will be photo heavy and features my dog - Hugo!

Jeans: Very - Shoes: New Look - Top: Primark - Poncho: Primark - Accessories: My Own.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next Outfit Of The Day post!

Huge thanks to my fiance Mark for taking the photos.

My Plus Sized Beach Fashion.

I recently came back from a weekend away in Cornwall with Mark and my two best friends: Rachel and Ben.
It was the weekend away I had been looking forward to all year.
It's an annual trip down to the Cornish coast for us, and we absolutely love it there.
Picturesque beaches and views, temperatures to rival foreign countries, Cornish fudge and of course real Cornish ice cream.

This year I was a lot more fashion conscious, seen as last year I practically lived in the same shorts/vest/cardigan/flip flops combination.
I went down Cornwall packed as though I was going away for a week, but I wanted to look good.

From the title and photos of me, you all know I'm not the smallest of girls and of course, being plus sized I'm always conscious about what I wear, I can't help it, its built into my system now.

So here is what I thought I looked good in on holiday:

Skorts: New Look
Vest: Primark
Bag: Primark
Sunglasses: Primark
Shoes: Converse

Skorts: New Look
Vest: Primark
Poncho: Primark

Left Picture: AS ABOVE.
Right Picture: Top: Primark
Maxi Skirt: Primark

Left Picture: AS ABOVE
Right Picture: Swimwear: My Own
Sunglasses: Primark

Swimwear: Matalan
Sunglasses: Bourjois

It's taken me a lot of guts to post these swimwear photos up to my blog, it's not that often I expose that much of my body, but I felt really confident and beautiful on holiday, and I really embraced my curves and floppy bits, I'm learning to love myself a bit more, one roll at a time!

MAC Whirl

I've finally got my hands on one of the most sought after MAC lip pencils ever - Whirl.
Ever since Kylie Jenner burst onto our Instagram feeds and into our lives, we have all been going crazy after her gorgeous nude and 90s lip colours. And Whirl is one of the lip colours she uses to achieve those to-die-for lips.

And only a while ago MAC launched a whole new collection of colours added to their permanent matte lipsticks, including the matching lipstick to Whirl lip pencil.
I'm not gonna lie to you, I kinda lost my shit when I heard that not only the lip pencil I had lusted after for months, the lip pencil that had me checking the MAC website like an estranged ex-girlfriend waiting for that text message, only to be turned away when reading the words 'SOLD OUT' the lip pencil that I craved for so long was back in stock, but there was a matching matte lipstick too?!
Shit = Lost.

Now, I don't splurge on MAC very often, but the chance to achieve Kylie Jenner lips, that could sell out at any moment? On it like a tramp on chips.

I really do love MAC products, okay, given that I only own about 8 (make that 9 now!) lipsticks, false lash mascara, highlighters, lip pencils and gel eyeliner, I do consider MAC as good quality makeup that I don't mind splurging on every now and again, you gotta treat yourself, right?

So imagine my excitement this morning when I checked my mailbox and sitting there was the lovely bubblewrap black envelope.
As soon as I was back upstairs I ripped the envelope open and swatched my longed after purchase, 'ooohing' with glee.

It's just the most beautiful matte rosy brown shade, perfect for creating that circa 1995 lip that I loved growing up in the 90s, when I longed to grow up looking like Jennifer Aniston or Courtney Cox.
This makeup look is so in at the moment, which I am over the moon about, because growing up in the 90s was boss. And now the fashion and makeup trends are back in, I'm all over the matte rosy brown lips like you wouldn't believe.

I decided to give this lipliner/lipstick combo a (excuse the pun) whirl today and created my own 90s/Kylie Jenner look:

 Products Used:
Charlotte Tilbury Wonderglow Primer
Bourjois BB Bronzing Cream
BareMinerals Complexion Rescue in Natural
Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer in Natural
L'Oreal True Match Touche Magique Highlighting Concealer
Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar & Glow Palette
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft & Gentle
I Love Makeup Makeup Geek Palette
Makeup Revolution Eyes Like Angels Palette
Soap & Glory Supercat Carbon Black Felt Liner
Elizabeth Arden Eyeliner in Gunmetal
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara
MAC Whirl Lip Pencil
MAC Whirl Matte Lipstick

I love this look and I think I will be wearing this well into the Autumn months ahead.
You can buy MAC Whirl on their website here.

Right I'm off to swap some pogs and listen to Hole.
